Hello, Children of God!
Great things are happening at Bethel United Methodist Church. To help you keep up to date on all that we have planned for the next few weeks, we are offering this special list of upcoming events.
Sunday Morning Worship
Every Sunday, 11:00 a.m.
Join us for worship each Sunday as we gather to praise God, pray, hear Scripture, and grow together in faith.
All Saints Sunday—November 1
All Sundays are special, but All Saints Sunday is especially meaningful. During worship, we will honor the great cloud of witnesses who have gone before us and who, in ways we cannot fully understand, still surround us with love, compassion, and prayer. Please join us as we celebrate the saints of our lives.
Choir Practice
Thursdays, 6:00–7:30 p.m.
Our choir is rehearsing special music for upcoming Sundays and for the Christmas season. If you need a ride, please let us know. For more information, speak with Eric Schlaud, our pianist & music director, or Pastor Tom.
Bible Study: “Faithful Together: Biblical Images of the Church”
Sundays, 9:45 a.m., and Tuesdays, 10:00 a.m.
Join us as we explore biblical images of the church and what it means to live faithfully together.
On Sunday, October 18, and Tuesday, October 20, our Scripture will be 1 Corinthians 12:12–27, and our theme will be “Every Member Matters.”
Dream Team
Tuesday, October 20 and November 3 at 6:00 pm.
The Dream Team continues to meet every other week as we discern God’s dream for Bethel Church. All are welcome.
Mighty Ducks Fellowship Lunch
Wednesday, October 21, 11:00 a.m.
The Mighty Ducks will meet at the church and travel together to the Tavern on the James in Scottsville for lunch beside the river.

Bethel’s annual Charge Conference—our United Methodist annual business meeting—will be held with other churches of the West End Cluster in the Richmond Area at Greenwood United Methodist Church, 10040 Greenwood Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060. All friends of Bethel Church are welcome to attend.
